All operations and organisations operate within the constraints of hazards – aspects which can cause harm or damage to the organisation and its assets, including human resources.
Not all Hazards are equal though. Some hazards have the capability to cause significantly more harm than others, being the priority Hazards. In industries that employ highly energetic mechanisms, such as factories or mines, these priority Hazards can potentially result in damage above pre-defined thresholds, inclusive of losses of life.
